Summer in Arizona is hot hot hot....however, no tornadoes, no earthquakes, no snow storms, and no hurricanes. It does get well over 100 degrees (ugh!) but only in late May thru September, then nothing but beautiful weather until next May or June.  Life is good in Arizona!!! But, don't tell everyone because we like it not to be any more crowded than it already is.  You can come visit, but we prefer that you go back home...just kidding!

How many of you have regular family reunions? 

In 1983, I planned the very first of what has turned out to be many many reunions in the last 30 years.  When we started, we had one every 5 years then we changed it to every three years and now we do it every two years.  Some of my siblings are in their 70's and 80's now and one never knows.  We only have two rules;1) Someone must volunteer to plan the next reunion before the end of  the current reunion and 2) Who ever volunteers to plan the next reunion gets to name the place. There are often more than 100 of us together.  We are happy, fun, loud and on occasion (OK Often), obnoxious.  This year we are getting together in Los Osos, California.  It is a beautiful place just outside of Paso Robles and a short drive to Morro Bay.  We laugh alot, drink alot, eat alot, talk alot, play alot and tease each other mercilessly (one never gets to old to make fun of your siblings). 

I am the fourteenth of fifteen children (OK catch your breath now).  We have lost a few of our loved ones since we started getting together, but for the most part we are kickin a** and taking numbers.  I feel very fortunate to be a part of this beautiful and amazing family.

Ladies, how about girl get togethers?? We all know that women know how to have fun!!!!  My BFF's and I get together often for a weekend of fun, food, drinks and always a good masseuse.

Last year, in between Family Reunions, I had a Girl Weekend with some of my many many nieces.  What a blast we had!  If you have never had one, now is the time for you to get together with your girlfriends and do something just for you.  I promise, you won't be sorry and you WILL look forward to the next one.

I'VE MISSED YOU!

It has been so long since I have found time to write on this blog.  Life seems to be so hectic and the older I get, the shorter the days seem to be...how can that be????  Between socializing with friends, the 9 grand kids whom I adore, and the kids whom I used to adore, and my darling husband whom I do adore but sometimes neglect, and my BFF's that I also neglect and don't return their calls....I really do love you guys!  There is a reason for all of this neglect. I must confess, I have been having an affair.  Relax, it's not what you think, I have been having so much fun making jewelry, its almost an addiction.....OK, it's a real addiction and I don't plan on getting any help! So, sorry all, I will try to make sure you all get a piece of me sometime in the near future....but, maybe you should not start holding your breath just yet.
