NEW DESIGNS

I am starting a new collection and want to give you a preview of the first couple of pieces. Then I will show you some of the other designs I have created in the past couple of months.

NEW STEAMPUNK COLLECTION

This SteamPunk Bracelet is the first of my new SteamPunk Collection.

It is designed with the inside workings of an old watch. I embellished it with Swarovski crystals. The chain is one I have had for many years so I am not certain what it is made of...probably brass? The clasp is made of Sterling Silver.

Measures approx "7.5" but I will make it any length you need.

This Steampunk Necklace is hand crafted with the inner works of two watches. The metal is probably stainless steel. I wire wrapped each piece with Sterling Silver wire and adorned the center divide with Swarovski Crystals. The necklace has a front closing clasp to add just another touch of funk to the piece. Take a look at the back because there is a surprise there for you (I have intentionally not included a picture of the back of this piece).

This Beautiful Wire Wrapped Blue Druzy slice hangs from a Unique handcrafted Sterling Silver Chain.

Industrial meets Pretty. The Top half is Wire Wrapped with a Natural Blue Zircon, a Natural Citrine, a pear Shaped Amethyst and 2 CZ gemstones......and this is just the top of the necklace! It is finished off with an awesome Wire Wrapped Pendant the color of fresh Raspberries. This is a definite show stopper!

That's right, you read this right. It's almost as much fun wearing them as it is screwing them on and off!!! OK that unintentionally sounded way bad, but you get my drift.

This ring is designed with a stunning AAA Brazilian Amethyst Gemstone on recycled Sterling Silver.

THIS 'N' THAT

My very first tomato from my garden!!!! Look at this beauty.

Summer in Arizona is hot hot hot....however, no tornadoes, no earthquakes, no snow storms, and no hurricanes. It does get well over 100 degrees (ugh!) but only in late May thru September, then nothing but beautiful weather until next May or June. Life is good in Arizona!!! But, don't tell everyone because we like it not to be any more crowded than it already is. You can come visit, but we prefer that you go back home...just kidding!

How many of you have regular family reunions?

In 1983, I planned the very first of what has turned out to be many many reunions in the last 30 years. When we started, we had one every 5 years then we changed it to every three years and now we do it every two years. Some of my siblings are in their 70's and 80's now and one never knows. We only have two rules;1) Someone must volunteer to plan the next reunion before the end of the current reunion and 2) Who ever volunteers to plan the next reunion gets to name the place. There are often more than 100 of us together. We are happy, fun, loud and on occasion (OK Often), obnoxious. This year we are getting together in Los Osos, California. It is a beautiful place just outside of Paso Robles and a short drive to Morro Bay. We laugh alot, drink alot, eat alot, talk alot, play alot and tease each other mercilessly (one never gets to old to make fun of your siblings).

I am the fourteenth of fifteen children (OK catch your breath now). We have lost a few of our loved ones since we started getting together, but for the most part we are kickin a** and taking numbers. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this beautiful and amazing family.

If you have family reunions, tell me about it.

Ladies, how about girl get togethers?? We all know that women know how to have fun!!!! My BFF's and I get together often for a weekend of fun, food, drinks and always a good masseuse.

Last year, in between Family Reunions, I had a Girl Weekend with some of my many many nieces. What a blast we had! If you have never had one, now is the time for you to get together with your girlfriends and do something just for you. I promise, you won't be sorry and you WILL look forward to the next one.

I'VE MISSED YOU!

It has been so long since I have found time to write on this blog. Life seems to be so hectic and the older I get, the shorter the days seem to be...how can that be???? Between socializing with friends, the 9 grand kids whom I adore, and the kids whom I used to adore, and my darling husband whom I do adore but sometimes neglect, and my BFF's that I also neglect and don't return their calls....I really do love you guys! There is a reason for all of this neglect. I must confess, I have been having an affair. Relax, it's not what you think, I have been having so much fun making jewelry, its almost an addiction.....OK, it's a real addiction and I don't plan on getting any help! So, sorry all, I will try to make sure you all get a piece of me sometime in the near future....but, maybe you should not start holding your breath just yet.

STATEMENT

Check out my new designs. I'm soooo loving working with natural and semiprecious gemstones. It is more of a challenge as well as lots of frustration and cracked stones and, occasionally a string of four letter words that just seem to escape without my knowledge or consent. To this day, I do not know how that happens! For this reason, I never design or construct, and especially, solder jewelry when my grandchildren are any where near. If I could just figure out a way to reuse all these cracked and broken stones, I'm sure my language and disposition would dramatically improve and I would be a very happy Queen. I'll keep working on it! In the meantime, let's take a look at what "Little Pretties" I have for you now.

OLD AND NEW THINGS I'VE DISCOVERED ON THE WWW

It has been awhile since I last posted on this blog....sorry, life took control of me but now I'm back in charge and ready to entertain you! Well not really entertain you, but hopefully give you food for thought....well not really food, but maybe something to make you say AHA!...well not really AHA because that's Oprah's thing, but maybe an OMGoodness, I can use that.....well not really..Someone please help me, I could go on like this forever....OK I'm Back in control...I'm still a little shaky, but I will try to focus.

OK, I'm Back...Are you ready to be WOWED? So lets talk about.....

COCONUT OIL:
AGAIN, I love this stuff!!! I have been using Organic Coconut Oil since I started writing this Blog, and I look 10 years younger now. No, I'm not going to send you a photo of me to prove it, you will just have to take my word for it....you can trust me....OH, I forgot, you should never trust anyone who says "you can trust me"....but I promise, "You Can Trust Me".

Here is a list of what I have seen improve since I started using Coconut Oil: 1. I look Ten Years Younger. Yes, I really do. 2. My complexion is smoother and shinnier. 3. You know those annoying little skin tags? Well they are almost gone! YEA! 4. If you are past a certain age, no, I'm not going to clarify that, but you know, well some of you know, about those annoying brown spots that magically appear on your skin when you wake up in the morning? I hate when that happens....however, they are now magically disappearing when I wake up in the morning....Life Is Good! 5. Cellulite ....UUUGGGHHH.....Halleluiah, it's no longer spreading ALL OVER MY BODY. My Cellulite areas, you know where they are, have started to smooth out. I can ALMOST wear a bathing suit this summer! OK, maybe next summer...I am a patient person. 6. My skin all over is satin smooth. 7. My hair is getting thicker and growing faster than ever. 8. My skin is protected from harmful ultraviolet rays which decreases wrinkles 9. Speeds up healing of bruises and cuts as it helps repair damaged tissues. Also great for burns. 10. Put a small dab on your underarms for a natural deodorant. This Totally Works!

GREAT IDEAS I FOUND ON PINTEREST. SOME I HAVE TRIED AND SOME I INTEND TO TRY!

VICKS VAPOR RUB TO STOP COUGHING:

Use VICKS VAPOR RUB and socks. Even the worst cough can be stopped within 5-15 minutes, and lasts hours. Just apply the vapor rub generously to the bottom of your (or child's) feet, and cover with socks. works 100% of the time, and has been proven to work better than prescription drugs! This REALLY Works!

HARNESSING THE POWER OF PROBIOTICS TO HEAL PINKEYE

What you need to remedy pinkeye is a probiotic laden, non-acidic liquid. For babies and children, the most effective liquid that fits this description is human breast milk. If the Mom in your household happens to be breastfeeding, a drop or two of breast milk expressed into a cup and then applied with a clean eyedropper to the infected eye will rapidly and magically eliminate the infection. Reapplication may be necessary every hour for a few hours, but in most every case, the infection will be gone well before you could have even gotten an appointment to see the doctor. This remedy works well for newborn babies also, so no need for the eye drops that are used immediately after birth if you plan to breastfeed.
If there is no one breastfeeding in your home, the next best thing would be a few drops of raw cow or goat milk applied to each eye. I recommend treating both eyes even if only one is showing signs of infection, by the way. Pinkeye is so contagious, that treating only the infected eye will usually result in having to treat the other eye within a short time anyway, so might as well do both from the beginning.
Raw cow or goat milk is loaded with immunity boosting probiotics, just like human breast milk. These beneficial bacteria work immediately on contact to crowd out and eliminate the pathogens at the source of the infection. Reapplication every hour or so should eliminate the infection quickly, perhaps not quite as fast as breast milk, but still faster by a long shot than getting to the doctor and filling a prescription.

If you do not have access to raw milk in your community for whatever reason, the clear, liquid part of yogurt or kefir (whey) can also be used as a fast home remedy. Yogurt and kefir are cultured with beneficial bacterial strains and carefully dropping a few drops of this liquid whey into the eyes will produce the same “crowding out” effect of the pathogens. Powdered whey mixed with water does NOT work as there are no live probiotics in such a heavily processed and denatured food. Pasteurized milk also does not work for the same reason.

EMERGENCY LIGHTING:

Crisco Candle for emergency situations: Simply put a piece of string in a large can or tub of Crisco Shortening, and it will burn for up to 45 days. AMAZING!
